Continue Sittie's education in the Philippines

Sittie is our first International Grant Recipient and attends Ateneo de Davao University in Daveo City, Philippines. She dreams of opening a health clinic in her home community of Cotabato City, one day. Though her parents work hard to provide her and a younger brother with an education, past medical bills have made it nearly impossible to pay the $1400/per year (P6000) in tuition costs.  Sittie has great hope for herself, her family and the future. New Day World staff and volunteers invite people seeking to reconnect with friends and family members who they have lost contact with, to hang photos and/or messages on the Finding Tree. Whether it is an old friend, a lost Love, a missing child or other family member, each day is a new day and new opportunity to connect for a moment or a lifetime. With a growing number of people living on our communities’ streets, changes occurring in overall living conditions and global structures, we believe that all will benefit from the joy of connection rather than the condition of separation. Regardless of the circumstances for separation, what better time of year, what better day than today, to reach out, bring that person home, go home yourself or just let loved ones know that you are alive and well? If none of these options are possible for you, we hope that you may make connections with others who understand and create a support system with each other. In a season when we sing of peace on earth, with the beginning of a new year and a time when greater unity is essential to human evolution and prosperity, we invite you to take a step toward peace of mind and sharing the warmth of your caring and contact.

Message Cards will be provided, you may attach your own photo as well. Staff has the right to refuse the posting of any inappropriate photo or message.  Message Cards will be posted at the same location on January 22, 2012 and February 22, 2012 as an opportunity for you to follow up, after which time all Message Cards become the property of New Day World.
